
Linda Baker
Linda Baker is from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She is Cherokee and a retired school teacher. One of her many achievements include being nominated for Teacher of the Year. Before retiring she taught 30 years at Hulbert High School, where she was a basketball and track coach. She was chosen to coach the first Indian All State basketball team. She was a sponsor for many senior classes and was fortunate to take them to Disney land California and Florida. During her last year, she worked with the gifted and talented students in grades 2 through 12.
Linda attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in education.
Linda is married to Tommy Baker. They have two children: a son Casey, who is a firefighter for the city of Tahlequah and her daughter Cassy, who is an elementary teacher. Linda has three grandchildren, Wyatt, Lauren, and Kennedy.
She and her husband live on a farm west of Tahlequah. She enjoys riding her horse, Dunny, and spending time with her family. She also loves to travel and has been to New Zealand, Israel, Jordan, and Europe where she visited England, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
Linda enjoys working with students and helping them become successful.
