
Wathene Young
Wathene (Delaware) has more than 33 years’ experience directing federal programs and has managed over $20 million in grants and contracts with federal, state, and tribal agencies as well as private foundations.
After receiving her master degree in oral communications from OSU, Wathene worked in both public schools and on the university level with Native American students, serving as a supervisor to teacher interns. She has experience as an education consultant, providing technical assistance in student leadership, program evaluation, needs assessment, resource development, and program planning and design.
